Former Physician Charged with Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care

Legal authorities have stated that a former physician stands accused of committing sexual assaults involving 38 victims who were patients.

Details of the Serious Charges

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – including some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.

A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

The Police Inquiry

These allegations come after what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.

Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
