I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
