Red Bull has confirmed a new line-up for the 2026 Grand Prix year, promoting Frenchman Isack Hadjar to its senior team and awarding 18-year-old Briton Arvid Lindblad his debut F1 drive. Lindblad, who is of Swedish and Indian heritage, is set to become the partner of New Zealander Liam Lawson at the second team Racing Bulls. This reshuffling sees Japan's Yuki Tsunoda exiting the grid following a five-year stint. A Star in the Making Arvid Lindblad took part in first practice for the British and Mexico City Grands Prix this year. Lindblad has been tagged as a potential future star by Red Bull from the age of 12 years old. Discussing the team's junior academy, a key advisor previously said that Lindblad "looks really promising", praising his "natural quickness". Red Bull has been working since last year to prepare Lindblad for his likely Grand Prix bow in 2026, featuring runs in Grand Prix practice at Silverstone and Mexico City. The rookie said it was a "dream come true", adding: "Next season represents a massive test, and I know there's a lot to learn, but I'm prepared to collaborate with the team and rise to it. I can't wait to get started." He has won two races in F2 so far this season and is P6 in the standings heading into the final round in Abu Dhabi. The Frenchman's Chance The French driver celebrates his maiden top-three finish in F1, achieved at the Dutch Grand Prix this season. The Frenchman's debut season started in difficult fashion when he crashed on the formation lap of the first Australian Grand Prix. However, since then, he has been one of the most impressive newcomers of the year. He included an excellent podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he sits 10th in the championship. A senior team figure said: "Hadjar has shown impressive growth and demonstrated to be a fast adapter. Crucially, he has the innate pace that is the primary necessity in this sport. We believe he can excel next to Max." The promoted driver called it "an awesome move" and said he felt "up for the challenge". The Lawson Decision For the seat at Racing Bulls, Red Bull have chosen Lawson over Tsunoda. The New Zealander started 2025 with the senior squad but was demoted after just two races. However, he has found his form at the junior outfit with some strong performances, persuading Red Bull he merits more time. The Japanese driver, meanwhile, loses his place after a difficult season. His highest finish is a P6, and he has scored a minor percentage of the team's constructors' championship. These announcements confirm that there remains no place on the Red Bull academy for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 for 2026.
