Six Individuals Detained After €12M Armed Raid on Precious Metals Facility in the French Republic

A team of six suspects carrying assault rifles and handguns used explosive devices to breach the security of a precious metals processing plant located in Lyon, France, causing light wounds to five employees during what appears to be the latest high-profile broad daylight robbery to affect France.

The daring raid took place on Thursday afternoon, with officers swiftly apprehending the individuals believed responsible and retrieving the loot valued at approximately €12 million (£10.5 million), according to officials.

Five staff members of the gold refining company received light wounds as a result of the detonation, and three employees were taken to a medical facility for examination, the regional prefecture announced. Twenty-eight workers were at the location when the robbers attacked.
