It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

We're talking about the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the record chasers, are what's still available for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over five decades.

"For those following me in training, it's been a frustrating experience because it appeared I lacked timing completely," said Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your competitive instincts activate and you simply focus on the contest."

Healy's competitiveness has continuously been her great strength - and a priceless quality in replacing famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's motivation.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and after that the batsman was in motion.

"The possibility to take the field and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was dismissed her side needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I am glad we have the confidence to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, if necessary, we believe we can succeed."

These statements will be the last competing nations at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will win from any position has become more firm - this triumph coming after win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they left last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at a significant event.
