The Soldiers Table Introduced
The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of characters who will split off from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team includes Teor (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.
This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
First, the team understands precisely where to head next after a intense initial meeting with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his own means, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.
The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd close behind.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer knows Timmony and advises that it is a nasty place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could assist the team enter places they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This results in them little choice but to travel to Timmony in quest for the traitor.
