The trio have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the last year. Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings. Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year. The shortlisted athletes were announced live on a widely-listened-to radio show. This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on Thursday, 18 December. The event will be televised from 19:00 GMT. The Football Star Age: 19 Sport: Football Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros. She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final. These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament. Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent. She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer. Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October. "Being nominated for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans." Luke Littler Age: 18 Sport: Darts The year started for Littler in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history. He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins. His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion. At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record. "To receive a nomination for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts." The Cricket Sensation Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August. Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s. It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition. Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA. "I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young females to get into cricket."
